Blackbird Choquechaca is the Blackbird brand’s restaurant with karaoke and rock in Cusco, at Calle Warankallki 111, on the corner of Choquechaca street, in San Blas. It is one of the three Blackbird venues in the city and the closest to the Plaza de Armas: 300 m, about a 5-minute walk.
The venue takes its name from the street: Choquechaca, also spelled Choquechaka, as in our logo. That is how we tell it apart from Blackbird Club San Blas and Blackbird Tecsecocha.
Three venues, three personalities

Blackbird has three venues in Cusco, each with its own personality. This is the Choquechaca one (Calle Warankallki 111): the brand’s restaurant with karaoke and rock, serving Peruvian food, pizza and burgers. Blackbird Club San Blas (Calle Kiskapata 335) is the restaurant with a city view, and Blackbird Tecsecocha is the one in the center, with live music and grill.

Our story
How Blackbird Choquechaca began
Blackbird was born in Cusco in 2022, with rock as its common thread and an idea its motto sums up: “Rock ’n’ roll, comida & rock” (food and rock). The brand, run by Mary Alina Pucho Gutiérrez, took its first steps on Tecsecocha street and went on to San Blas, on Calle Kiskapata. Choquechaca is its third venue and the closest to the Plaza de Armas.
Here the idea took its most festive shape: a restaurant where you come to eat, with lomo saltado, trout ceviche, pizza or burgers, and where the night carries on with singing. That is why karaoke is free: anyone who wants to can sing, at no extra cost, while rock is always playing in the background.
You can spot the venue from the street: a sign with a blackbird on the white front, the stone base and hand-written chalkboards announcing pizza, wings, happy hour and karaoke. Inside there is a dining room with wooden beams, blue booths, rock posters and a large mural of a guitarist. And some nights are remembered: a guest writes on Google about a Gustavo Cerati tribute here.
The neighborhood
On Choquechaca street, on the way to San Blas
Choquechaca is one of the historic center streets that lead up to the San Blas neighborhood, behind the Cathedral. A few steps away is Hatunrumiyoc street, with the 12-Angled Stone, one of the most visited Inca walls in Cusco.
That makes it a good place to end the day: after exploring the center, you are at your table after a 5-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas.
